In the frame of the 4CE-MED project, BIOS AGROSYSTEMS in collaboration with CRES will organize a field day on 22nd April to disseminate the camelina crop to farmers, professional agronomists, and other stakeholders. The demonstration field is located in Chalkidiki (Nea Gonia) in the northern part of Greece. The Alba variety was planted at the end of December and the sowing technique was the row seeding method with a cereal seeding machine at a rate of 8 kilograms per hectare. The growth and development of Camelina’s plants are going well even though intense drought has prevailed in recent weeks, proving the resistance of camelina in drought conditions. Now, camelina crop is in the flowering stage.
