On 8 March, the consortium meeting of the 4CE-MED project took place in Marrakech where all the partners of the consortium met to participate in the exchange meeting on agronomic trials on tailor-made systems & performed demonstration activities developed by the 4CE-MED project.
The ambitious agenda emphasized the review of the state of play describing agronomic trials on tailor-made systems in each Mediterranean country during the first period of the project which covers 18 months.
The agenda included a work exchange meeting where all the entities contributed with their presentations such as the presentation of our colleague Kiriakos Kebapidis from Bios-agrosystems that presented “One day of #camelina harvesting in Xanthi Greece” and the future plan for trials in Greece for the coming months or the presentation of our colleage Pablo Fernandez from Cooperativas Agroalimentarias that presented camelina trial fields in 2 seasons, field visits, sowing and harvesting, training sessions in Alcamancha cooperativas in Spain. Finally our colleague Valentina Guerrieri and Matetro Vittuari from UNIBO presented scenarios to all partnes for data validation for the preliminary assessment and Imen Trabsi from INRAT Tunisia shared also the scenarios data witholleagueo all partnes.
On the second day 9th of March, a field visit took place where we all had the opportunity to visit a potential oil seed crop in rotation in a wheat-based cropping system that is being investigated since 2020.

During the field visit, our partner ICARDA introduced us to the wonderful work that the women’s cooperative of MOGADOR carries out with another crop that is a reference in the territory, argan oil, which is used to make different cosmetic products.
